Victoria Butterworth

I am a Clinical Scientist specialising in Radiotherapy Physics in which I use my problem solving aptitude to improve patient outcomes in cancer care. Currently I hold a Clinical Research Fellowship focusing on the use of artificial intelligence to predict head and neck cancer recurrence. I am deeply committed to ensuring that the introduction of AI in healthcare does not perpetuate existing inequalities, especially through poorly designed systems.

Outside my clinical and research roles, I am an avid parkrunner and advocate for inclusion through this community driven event. Parkrun provides a wonderful platform to bring people together from all walks of life. I believe strongly in calling out unacceptable behaviour and biases, both in healthcare and in everyday life, advocating for fairness and respect and I strive to create environments where everyone can thrive.
